Gym With an Iconic “Red Room” Is Under Construction in Walnut Creek
Walnut Creek, California – A brand-new gym is coming to Walnut Creek, along with its iconic “Red Room.”
The new gym is part of a chain with locations all around the world. It’s focused on high-intensity interval training (HIIT), a trendy type of workout that’s all about raising your heart rate through brief bursts of very intense activity.
This new gym will also emphasize strength training as a core part of its program. It features a unique “Red Room” with red lighting and pounding music to keep participants motivated and moving.

The gym is Barry’s Bootcamp. It’s currently under construction at the new Rise apartment building at 1380 North California Blvd. in downtown Walnut Creek.
Workers are actively constructing Barry’s Bootcamp in the mixed-use space under the new apartment building, and a person on site told us it would be a Barry’s Bootcamp.

That said, the new Walnut Creek location hasn’t been officially posted on the Barry’s Bootcamp page. That means it will probably be at least a few more months until Barry’s opens.
The opening of Barry’s Bootcamp is part of a larger Bay Area trend toward highly specialized gyms and workout experiences. Pvolve opened recently in Walnut Creek near Heather Farm, and a dedicated StretchLab also opened recently in Lafayette.
