DUBLIN, CALIFORNIA – Dublin is about to get a fresh new addition to its dining scene: Dishdash, a beloved family-owned Middle Eastern restaurant group that has been serving the Bay Area for more than two decades, is opening its first East Bay location in the former Applebee’s space.
Set to debut in early 2026, the 5,400-square-foot restaurant promises a blend of upscale dining and authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
The story of Dishdash began in the year 2001, when Emad Ibrahim opened the first full-service Middle Eastern restaurant in Silicon Valley’s historic Murphy District. Driven by a vision to blend tradition with innovation, he set out to serve authentic Middle Eastern dishes crafted from fresh, high-quality ingredients with a contemporary touch.

Over the years, Dishdash has grown into a cherished local establishment, earned a reputation for flavorful cuisine, warm hospitality, and a menu that appeals to everyone from families to busy tech professionals.
In 2011, Ibrahim launched Dish N Dash, a counter-service concept designed to meet the needs of busy customers who still wanted authentic, high-quality food. Today, Dish N Dash has five locations across the South Bay and Fremont, and Dublin is next.

“We wanted to bring our flavors to a community that shares the diversity and pace of life we see in Silicon Valley,” Ibrahim said. “Dublin felt like the perfect fit.”
Family ties and community demand played a big role in the decision. Many of the group’s family members now call Dublin and the Tri-Valley home, and they saw an opportunity for a more upscale Middle Eastern dining option among the area’s fast-food offerings.

Dish N Dash’s menu offers an approachable balance of flavor and choice. From warm, toasty shawarma wraps and falafel-stuffed pitas to crisp, refreshing salads and signature entrees like Mansaf, a rich lamb-yogurt dish, every meal is designed to be customizable.
A standout feature is the group’s central kitchen, where fresh hummus, falafel, pita bread, and other specialities are made daily, a rarity in fast-casual dining.

The new Dublin location will feature an enclosed patio and seating designed for a comfortable Mediterranean-inspired dining experience. It will be open Sunday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday-Saturday until 9:30 pm. A soft opening for friends, family, and industry insiders is expected early in the first quarter of 2026.
