A “Kids Eat Free” Deal in the 925 for Every Day of the Week

Taking the family out for dinner is not exactly cheap these days. But around the 925, you can find a legit kids-eat-free option for every day of the week — from an early-evening farm-to-table dinner in Danville to pizza, pasta, Mediterranean bowls, and even a Brazilian steakhouse option for the youngest diners.

Read the fine print, of course. Most of these offers require dine-in, a paid adult entree, and a child ordering from the kids menu. Still, free is free — especially on a weeknight when nobody wants to cook.

Monday: Danville Harvest in Danville

Danville Harvest has one of the area’s most useful ongoing family deals: kids eat free Monday through Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m.

For every adult entree purchased, the restaurant offers a complimentary kids meal worth up to $11. It is a particularly good fit for families looking for a nicer-than-average weeknight meal. The restaurant is at 500 Hartz Ave. in downtown Danville.

Tuesday: Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria in Danville

Tuesday is pizza night at Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria. The restaurant’s dine-in special gives families a free kids meal with the purchase of each adult meal from 5 p.m. until closing.

That makes the Danville location a straightforward option for parents who want something reliably kid-friendly without having to negotiate over a more adventurous menu.

Wednesday: Mendocino Farms in San Ramon

Mendocino Farms at City Center Bishop Ranch offers kids eat free every Wednesday with the purchase of an adult entree.

The deal is not available with online ordering, so this is a dine-in opportunity. But for families already spending time at City Center, it is an easy way to make sandwiches, salads, grilled cheese, chicken tenders, and other kid-friendly options more affordable. The restaurant is at 6000 Bollinger Canyon Road.

Thursday: Tomatina in Walnut Creek

Thursday belongs to Tomatina. At the Walnut Creek restaurant, one kids-menu entree is free with each paid adult entree from 4 p.m. through closing.

That means a family can choose from kid-sized pizza, mac and cheese, ravioli, spaghetti and meatballs, or pasta with sauce while the adults get into the restaurant’s larger pasta and pizza menu. Tomatina is at 1325 N. Main St. in Walnut Creek.

Friday: Galpao Gaucho in Walnut Creek

Friday is the toughest night to find a broad kids-eat-free deal in the 925, but Galpao Gaucho offers a real break for families with toddlers.

At the Walnut Creek Brazilian steakhouse, children ages 3 and under eat complimentary. Kids ages 4 to 6 are $6, while those ages 7 to 11 receive half off the regular meal price. It is not the cheapest adults’ night out on this list, but it can make a special occasion dinner much more reasonable for families with little ones.

Saturday and Sunday: The Kebab Shop

The Kebab Shop has the most dependable weekend deal of the bunch. On both Saturday and Sunday, customers receive one free Kids Box with the purchase of a regularly priced wrap, box, or plate plus a fountain drink.

The offer is available in-store only and cannot be combined with other discounts. There are local locations in Walnut Creek, Concord, Pleasanton, and San Ramon, making it one of the easiest deals to use after a weekend errand run, youth sports game, or park outing.

Bonus: Kids also eat free at MOD pizza in WC on Sundays.

Restaurant promotions can change quickly, especially around holidays and special events, so it is still smart to confirm the offer before loading everyone into the car. But with a little planning, there is now a good reason to take a night off from cooking almost any day of the week.
