CONCORD, CALIFORNIA – Seafood lovers have a new place to grab fish tacos, grilled salmon and crispy fish and chips in Concord.
California Fish Grill is now open at The Willows Shopping Center, located at 1975 Diamond Boulevard. The restaurant began welcoming customers in late July and celebrated its official grand opening with a Concord Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 19.
The fast-casual chain specializes in seafood served without the formality or price tag typically associated with a traditional seafood restaurant. Customers order at the counter, with options ranging from flame-grilled fish plates to tacos, bowls, salads and fried seafood classics.

California Fish Grill’s current menu includes Atlantic salmon, branzino, tilapia, giant shrimp and swai. Grilled plates come with a choice of sauce and two sides, while the chain’s other popular offerings include Cajun shrimp tacos, ahi poke nachos, salmon burrito bowls and battered fish and chips.
The menu also features lobster rolls, clam chowder and combination plates. Customers who do not eat seafood can choose from grilled chicken dishes or an avocado veggie bowl, and there is a separate kids menu.

California Fish Grill promotes its seafood as 100% responsibly sourced. The company says its wild-caught fish is harvested using methods designed to reduce unwanted bycatch, while its farm-raised seafood comes from fisheries that meet recognized sustainability standards.

The chain was founded in Gardena in 1998 and has since expanded to more than 50 restaurants, primarily in California, with additional locations outside the state. It already operates another Contra Costa County restaurant at 2910 Ygnacio Valley Road in Walnut Creek.
The Concord restaurant occupies Suite 115 at The Willows, near The Veranda and just off Interstate 680. Online ordering is currently available beginning at 11 a.m., with posted ordering hours extending into the evening. Customers should check the restaurant’s official locations page for the latest hours.
The opening is part of a broader redevelopment underway at The Willows. A section of the shopping center anchored by Eureka! is being transformed into approximately 14,000 square feet of new restaurant and retail space. Eight tenants are expected to open in phases through the end of August, alongside updated patios, landscaping, facades and public art.

The Willows plans to celebrate completion of that portion of the project with an event on September 24.
For Concord diners, however, the seafood is already being served. California Fish Grill is open now at 1975 Diamond Boulevard in Concord.
