We’re thrilled to share the news that Walnut Creek, California’s most hotly anticipated new breakfast restaurant has finally opened its doors.
The Breakfast Club at Midtown was under construction at Ygnacio Plaza across from Heather Farm Park for what felt like eons. We reported on the original plans to launch the restaurant, and there was a huge amount of excitement in the community about the opening.
Then we waited. And waited. The signs were still up, but the doors weren’t open.
We’re thrilled to share that the wait is officially over! Breakfast Club at Midtown is open in Walnut Creek, and is serving up their legendary red velvet pancakes. When we stopped by recently, the restaurant was full of happy diners, even on a random Thursday morning.

And if you like this homegrown restaurant chain, there’s even more good news. A new location of Breakfast Club is also slated to open in downtown Lafayette, in the location of the former Patxis pizza.
We don’t have an opening date for that one yet, but signage is up and the location is supposed to open in the Spring.
Check out the Breakfast Club in Walnut Creek, or wait just a bit longer to visit in Lafayette. Save us some pancakes, and if you visit, tell them the Bay Area Telegraph sent you.
