WALNUT CREEK, CA — Downtown Walnut Creek has a new destination for Italian cuisine with the opening of Gusto Mio, a focacceria founded by seasoned restaurateurs Angelo Sannino and Antonio Merolla.
The new eatery is right in downtown Walnut Creek (1411 Locust Street), down the block from the Lesher Center.
Gusto Mio aims to deliver the taste of Italy through its traditional pizza al taglio and freshly baked focaccia. The establishment emphasizes quality by using imported ingredients such as rich cheeses, premium cured meats, and authentic olive oil, all sourced directly from Italy.

Angelo Sannino, a co-owner of Doppio Zero restaurants and a prominent figure in the Bay Area’s Italian dining scene, leads the culinary vision.
