New Urban Air in Concord is a Costco-Sized Paradise of Trampolines, Ziplines and Rock Walls

CONCORD, CALIFORNIA – Imagine a Costco-sized facility with soaring ceilings, bright lighting, and a warehouse aesthetic.
Now, imagine that facility filled with a kid-friendly array of trampolines, ball pits, climbing structures, and rock walls instead of paper towels and cases of diet soda.
In a nutshell, that’s what you’ll find at Urban Air Adventure Park, a brand-new, absolutely massive, wildly popular indoor play extravaganza in Concord, California.

Urban Air Adventure Park opened recently, and as fans of Rockin’ Jump in Concord, readers kept writing in to tell us we needed to check it out.
The Bay Area Telegraph finally got a chance to stop by and try out the facility this weekend.
Plain and simple: this is a paradise for kids who need an indoor space to move around and adventure.
A Playground on an Unbelievable Scale
Urban Air is huge. It’s hard to accurately capture the size of this indoor facility until you actually step inside. The only parallel I can think of is the 95,000-square-foot waterpark Great Wolf Lodge in Manteca—but you’d still have to drive an hour to get there.
Urban Air doesn’t have water slides, but it has just about everything else a kid could want.

First, there’s a full trampoline park, on the same scale as Rockin’ Jump. You’ll find a large area with trampoline floors and trampoline walls. There’s also a designated trampoline area for dodgeball games, as well as a little kids’ area for those seven and under.

Beside the trampoline park, you’ll find a ball pit and an obstacle maze with balance beams, swinging punching bags, and ninja warrior-style bridges and platforms for kids to navigate.

For those who want to go full warrior, there’s a section where two kids at a time grab giant padded rods, climb onto a big balance beam over a pit filled with padded cubes, and then attempt to knock each other off.
If you’ve got teenage siblings who need to work out a rivalry, this is a great place to take them!
Climbing, Racing, and Sky-High Adventures
Urban Air doesn’t end with the trampoline park, though. It has a whole range of other facilities that bring out the “air” concept.
One of the biggest draws is the large climbing wall area. There are classic rock gym-style walls, but also more engaging options, like a series of narrow pillars that kids can jump across—just like in an Indiana Jones movie. There’s also a competitive climbing wall with two clear-sided walls, allowing two people to race to the top.

To enter this section, you’ll need to put on a harness and be clipped into a belay system that automatically stops you from falling if you let go.
For younger kids under 52 inches, there’s a four-story, fully enclosed climbing area with nets, ladders, slides, and more. Imagine Chutes and Ladders turned into real life and stacked vertically!

My seven-year-old loved climbing through this section with his friends and sliding down massive slides suspended in midair.
For the even more adventurous, Urban Air has a full ropes course that extends above the facility. Kids and adults can get clipped into a special harness and climb through swinging tires, spiderweb-like nets, and other obstacles suspended 20 feet above the ground.
One of the coolest things at Urban Air is the Sky Ride, which is essentially a giant zip line snaking around the building. After ascending three flights of stairs, kids and adults get clipped in and fly Superman-style around the roof before landing (or crashing) into a giant padded section at the end.

It’s quite the spectacle to walk into the facility and immediately have a screaming teenager soar above your head at high speed!
Laser Tag, Food, and All-Inclusive Fun
If your kid would rather stay on the ground, Urban Air has a large and well-designed laser tag maze in the back. Some laser tag arenas feel rundown or don’t work well, but that’s not the case here.

My son played four games in a row and probably could’ve kept going.
Urban Air also has an on-site restaurant with a Costco food court vibe—giant plates of chicken tenders, pizzas, candy, and other kid-friendly food. There’s a huge dining area filled with picnic tables where families can sit and eat together.

Perfect for Birthday Parties
Unsurprisingly, Urban Air specializes in birthday parties. You can rent a party room, which comes with a dedicated party attendant who sets everything up, makes a loudspeaker announcement when your pizza and cake are ready, and handles all the cleanup.
Another great feature is all-inclusive pricing. You pay for a time slot and a level of attractions, and your kid can use those attractions for the entire duration of their visit. You don’t have to pay separately for each experience.

Attractions like the climbing walls and Sky Ride are considered Ultimate Attractions, meaning you’ll need to purchase the highest-level ticket to access them. The basic trampoline park and certain other areas are available at lower price levels.
Urban Air also offers memberships, allowing you to pay monthly and visit as often as you’d like. With summer approaching—and the possibility of heat and wildfire smoke making outdoor play difficult—a membership could be a great investment for families who aren’t doing many summer camps.
Plan Your Visit in Advance
One thing to keep in mind: Urban Air limits the number of guests allowed at one time. This is great because it prevents overcrowding, so your kid won’t have to wait long to use most attractions.
The only downside? It can take days or even weeks to get a reservation for a busy time.
Visiting on a weekday is usually easier, but make sure to book in advance—if you try to walk in, you likely won’t get in.
Final Verdict
Overall, Urban Air is an incredibly cool addition to the East Bay’s indoor playground scene. It’s on an entirely different scale than little-kid-focused places like the new KidPlex in San Ramon and is clearly designed for older kids, teenagers, and even young adults.
We’ll definitely be heading back! Urban Air feels like the perfect spot for scorching hot East Bay summer days—or rainy winter weekends.
