Danville Has a 1,000-Bush Rose Garden, and It’s Totally Free
DANVILLE, CALIFORNIA – This is your annual reminder! Danville, California has a 1,000 bush rose garden, and it’s totally free to visit and enjoy.

This colossal garden is located at Osage Station Park. In fact, it’s spread all around the park–there’s a big, tiered stand of bushes by the playground, rose bushes along the paths, and a giant rose garden with walking paths and trellises at the back of the park.

The roses come in all shapes and colors. There are the classic pinks and reds, but also yellow roses, green roses, and even purple ones.

Climbing roses ring the fences. There are weird white roses that don’t even look like roses.

In short, this is a fantastic rose garden, rivaling the best botanical gardens on the other side of the tunnel. And it’s totally free!

Why am I writing about this now? Because the roses are blooming! That makes it a fantastic time of year to visit Osage Station Park’s 1000-bush rose garden (which is lovingly tended by the city and an army of volunteers) with a picnic, or just for a stroll.
How to Visit
Park in the lot at Brookside Drive and Everett Dr. Walk the loop around the park and you’ll see all the roses. Make sure to read my overall review of the park for lots more to do there.
