Inflation Just Killed a Much-Loved BBQ Restaurant in Dublin, California

Livermore, California – Citing high inflation and overall rising costs, a longtime Dublin, California, barbecue place has closed its doors forever.

Armadillo Willy’s had served wood-fired barbecue at locations around the Bay Area for 40 years. In Dublin, the restaurant was located at 4480 Tassajara Rd.

After years of lower sales, Armadillo Willy’s owner says that high inflation was the nail in the coffin that forced the local chain to close most of its restaurants, including the Dublin location.

Armadillo Willy’s had served Texas-style barbecue. If you still crave the food, they have one location remaining down in San Mateo. They also offer catering throughout the Bay Area.

Although Armadillo Willy’s is now closed forever in Dublin, there are plenty of other barbecue options in the area – including some new ones!

I love Horn Barbecue in Lafayette, and Sauced is another great option for local barbecue, with several locations around the 925.
