Man Shot in Livermore on Sunday and Suspect is Still On the Loose, Police Say

Livermore, CA – The Livermore Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Sunday evening, August 17, 2025.

At around 8:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 4000 block of Lassen Road. When they arrived, they found a man in his 40s, a Livermore resident, who had been shot. He was transported to the hospital for treatment. His current condition has not been released.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. Police say they are actively following leads in the case. The suspect, though, currently remains on the loose.

Locals pointed out that the shooting may have occurred at a low-priced hotel in the vicinity.
