Jennifer Perlmutter Gallery in Lafayette Closes Permanently in 2022

The Jennifer Perlmutter gallery in Lafayette, California is now officially closed. The vibrant gallery, a staple of downtown Lafayette, announced its closure after 8 years of operations in March of 2022.

Perlmutter wrote in an email newsletter at the time, “After 8 years in Lafayette, our gallery says goodbye to this wonderful community but not without taking with us a lot of great memories!”

The space formerly housing the gallery on Mount Diablo Blvd in downtown Lafayette is currently vacant as of the Bay Area Telegraph’s visit in January of 2023.

The space was originally a bank building, and a large metal vault is still a prominent part of the building’s architecture.

Although Perlmutter has departed Lafayette, her gallery live on. Guests can visit her art at her secondary location in Carmel, California.
