“Top Secret” New Craft Brewery Coming Soon to Lafayette

A brand-new craft brewery will be opening soon in downtown Lafayette, California.

Firstly, thanks to a reader in Moraga who wrote in to share this one with us.

This reader has been tracking the restaurant scene in Lafayette for a long time and noticed something exciting—an application to open a new microbrewery on Mount Diablo Blvd. in Lafayette.

The application is from a company called Western Flyer Brewing. Their Instagram reveals that this new microbrewery will be coming to 3660 Mount Diablo Blvd.

Western Flyer will be located across from Trader Joe’s, inside the brand-new condo and mixed-use building that seems like it’s been under construction for years now.

Almost no one knows about this brewery yet! Please help us out and share it with your community on Nextdoor or Facebook!

We stopped by this morning to see how it’s coming along.

On the company’s Instagram nearly six months ago, Western Flyer showed a picture of their future site under heavy construction, and that construction is still taking place! When the brewery opens, it will offer Pilsners, bitters, and other locally brewed beers.

Not much else is known about this future brewery, and their original location was “top secret” for a while, according to their post. But now we know where it is!

What’s not secret is that their beers look awesome! In photos posted on Instagram, we can see some renderings of what their future drinks will look like. Can’t wait to try them out in reality!

We reached out to the owners, who were literally in the middle of work on the restaurant’s building when we called. Hopefully we can update you with more details soon!

Western Flyer will join the growing brewing scene here in Lafayette. Headlands Brewing Co. has long had a thriving microbrewery in downtown Lafayette, and Canyon Club over in Moraga is one of our favorite spots. A local winery is even putting in a tasting room.

No word yet on when Western Flyer will open. Construction is ongoing at their future home, but it still seems to have a long way to go.
