A New Indoor Playground Just Opened in San Ramon, and It Looks Epic

San Ramon, California’s new indoor playground at City Center Bishop Ranch is officially open, and it looks epic.

Kid Plex is located on the second floor of City Center, in the space formerly occupied by PlayStar Kids. We loved PlayStar Kids, but it had more of a mellow vibe, with a small slide, a climbing wall, and lots of tables with toys for pretend play.

Kid Plex seems to have done quite a lot to modify the space. We recently stopped by and took a peek at the store, which is currently in a soft opening phase.

Inside, there’s a giant, two-story crawl-through play structure with a big ball pit.

There are tube contraptions that kids can use to create different routes for balls to roll down, and a pretend play area with multiple kitchens, cars to push around, and more.

There also appears to be an area with tables where parents can set up—probably to get a little work done on their laptops while their kids play.

Kid Plex looks to be adding a party room on the side, making it a great place to bring a cake and food for a kids’ birthday party.

Kid Plex is pricey, like most things at City Center. For one kid, it’s $14 for an hour of play or $34 for the full day.

One nice thing is that infants under one year old are free when an older sibling visits.

There’s also an option to join with a monthly membership for $140, but it’s weekdays only.

If your child does Music Together down the hallway and wants to play afterward, or if you frequently visit City Center for the shops and restaurants, it might be a good deal.

Kid Plex seems oriented towards younger kids, similar to PlayStar Kids. It’s always great to see another indoor playground option available.
