SUV Crashes Into Fence at Acalanes High School Amid Ongoing Rainstorm

LAFAYETTE, CALIFORNIA – Amid slick roads during an ongoing rainstorm in the San Francisco Bay Area, a silver SUV appears to have crashed into a fence at Acalanes high school in Lafayette, California on Sunday afternoon.

The vehicle in question appeared to be a silver 4Runner SUV. Although the exact specifics of the crash aren’t known, the Bay Area Telegraph observed the vehicle facing the wrong way and sitting at a precarious angle on the sidewalk around 12:45pm Sunday, with its front end through the fence.

Several police vehicles were present. There was an ongoing downpour, leading us to believe that the crash was likely weather-related.

There did not appear to be any injuries from the crash, and it was cleared within an hour. The fence still appears to be damaged.

This accident is a reminder that it’s important to exercise caution during the rain. Bay Area roadways can get very slick, and these accidents occur all too often.

Simultaneously, on the same day, we observed a similar accident on Highway 24 that briefly blocked the eastbound lanes.

As the rain continues to fall, be safe out there!
